PERC is organizing Safe Climate PA, a conference that will engage students and public officials from across PA in discussion of climate change and carbon pricing, and will include a workshop on public advocacy skills. The event is scheduled for Friday, April 7 in Harrisburg. To help us plan, please respond to this short questionnaire to express your interest in attending and brining students to the event: https://goo.gl/forms/BVLxXcNhgYfELisN2.
Produced in cooperation with Citizens Climate Lobby and Our Climate, Safe Climate PA will offer a day of programming for Pennsylvania students to learn about climate change, carbon pricing policy, and effective civic engagement. This is a great event for students to both learn about the climate crisis, ways to respond to it, and how to effectively engage with and educate their government officials. The event will include training on how to meet with elected officials to make your voice heard, and time to work with others in their state district to plan how to engage with your representatives.
Details will be forthcoming soon and a website constructed for the event.
