EnergyPath 2014

Free Scholarships

for Students and Staff from PERC Member Schools

"Going to the SEF Energy Path boot camps and conference with [my] students was a tremendous experience for all involved and a financial no-brainer. We each received a week-long experience valued at $1500 apiece thanks to our PERC membership. The educational benefit and the tremendous value of the SEF scholarships was enough alone to justify our PERC membership dues to my provost."
--Tim Hawkins, Associate Professor, Shippensburg University
     PERC Executive Committee member

Energypath 2014, powered by the Sustainable Energy Fund, is the region’s largest sustainable energy conference. The purpose of Energypath is to create a passion for and understanding of sustainable energy. This year's conference will focus on how the interaction between energy producing, conversion, and management technologies is changing the energy industry and can provide safe, affordable, reliable and sustainable energy. Each year, the conference is attended by more than 400 students, professional educators, dislocated workers and industry professionals.

Energy Camps
The week kicks off with the pre-conference Energy Camps, from June 16th through the 18th
which provide opportunities for hands-on learning about Bio-mass, Micro-Hydro, Solar PV,  as well as the chance to take an in depth look at a range of Energy Efficiency measures and Energy Policies. The Intro to Sustainable Energy camp is yet another learning opportunity for the camps.

Conference & Expo
The Energypath Conference and Expo (June 18th and 19th) is designed to increase the knowledge of and passion for sustainable energy in the leaders of today and tomorrow. It features sessions on basic and advanced technology as well as energy policy.
The conference concludes Friday morning with the Science Fair and the final conference seminars.

But the PERC scholarships offer members the unique chance to book a group all at once, so you don't need to worry about whether some people applying for the scholarships receive them while others don't.  But remember, they are awarded on a first-come, first served basis. (A maximum of ten scholarships per school will be awarded.) Note also that the deadline to use the PERC scholarships is April 15th, but they are likely to "sell out" long before that.

So get a group together and register now! (For instructions on how to register, including the promo code to use, make sure you are logged on to the PERC site then click here to go a similar EnergyPath 2014 page but with the promocode and registration instructions included.)
