2022 Campus Sustainability Champion
Celebration & Virtual Happy Hour
With Guest Speaker Tykee James
Join us for a virtual celebration of the advancement of sustainability in Pennsylvania’s colleges and universities and the hope for our common future.
On Thursday, April 28th, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, we will recognize PERC's newly designated 2022 Campus Sustainability Champions: college and university students, faculty, and staff from across the Commonwealth who have advocated for action on climate change, for environmental justice, for food sovereignty, and for the health and well-being of people and the planet. Bring a friend and your favorite locally brewed, fermented, steeped, or pure beverage and enjoy the positivity!
We will also be joined by special guest, the highly motivated and visionary Tykee James. A native of Philadelphia and graduate of Temple University, James is the Co-Chair of Amplify the Future, an organization that “envisions a system in which higher education is free, equitable, and accessible in the United States.” He works as the Government Affairs Coordinator for the National Audubon Society and is the co-founder of #BlackBirdersWeek and the Freedom Birders Project. James brings his organizational brilliance, passion for justice, and love of people, places, and birds together to create change.
