PERC, in cooperation with Penn State Sustainability, hosted a one-day conference event at the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub in State College, PA. Today, we recognize Pennsylvania's role in working to meet our country's NDC, among other commitments, and the function HEIs serve in supporting that endeavor. With speakers from a variety of disciplines, the day offered the following content:

• The Evolution of Climate Action and Leadership in Higher Education, Keynote Speech, Dr. Tim Carter, Second Nature President
• Sustainability Curriculum: Competencies and Best Practices, presentation, Dr. Krista Bailey, Penn State Sustainability Associate Director for Campus Sustainability
• Sustainability and Equity: Their intersection from students' perspectives, PERC short film debut
• Finding the Sweet Spot between Environmental and Financial Sustainability, presentation, Mr. Larry Eighmy, The Stone House Group Managing Principal
• Exploring "Fostering a Culture of Sustainability", PERC workshop
• PLUS: Opening remarks form Dr. Richard Alley, National Medal of Science recipient and Penn State University Evan Pugh Professor of Geoscience

In addition to the topics addressed above, the conference featured designated time for leaders to network, share ideas, and make new connections that strengthened institutional sustainability relations from across the state! With attendees joining from over 10 PA institutions, PERC's event was a success and we have the photos to prove it!
