On April 30, John Dernbach, J.D., will be presenting "Acting as if Tomorrow Matters: Climate Change Realities and Opportunities" at Millersville University. Dernbach is a Distinguished Professor of Law at Widener's Harrisburg campus and co-director of Widener's two-campus Environmental Law Center. He will be presenting basic climate knowledge with which the public should be familiar, linking it to public policy and sustainability,
Dernbach leads the project "Sustaining America," which reviews sustainable development efforts in the United States and makes recommendations for future action. He also writes and lectures on climate change and environmental law. He is the editor of "Stumbling Toward Sustainability" (2002), "Agenda for a Sustainable America" (2009) and is the principal author of "Acting as if Tomorrow Matters: Accelerating the Transition to Sustainability" (2012), which draws on experts from around the country.
