ABOUT US

Students in an environmental-studies class work in front of the solar array at the College Farm.Connect. Collaborate. Take Action.  These four words have come to represent the essence of the Pennsylvania Environmental Resource Consortium.  PERC allows faculty and sustainability staff at colleges and universities across the state to connect with people at other schools and share knowledge about research and best practices.  Repeatedly this collaboration has lead to projects that move us toward a more sustainable future.

From bringing wind to Pennsylvania to developing GHG and solar programs, PERC has a proud history of accomplishmentsCurrently comprised of over seventy member and affiliate colleges and universities, the Consortium was created in the belief that higher education has a leading role in creating a sustainable future and that working together on a statewide level can help to bring about that future.

Through activities including conferences, webinars and inter-campus projects and competitions, as well as digital communication and networking tools, PERC seeks to facilitate the movement toward sustainability--among its members and affiliates as well as the rest of Pennsylvania.
